名词后缀-th是本族语古已有之的派生后缀。它除了与三以上的基数词结合构成序数词之外（意为number～in order“第...”）还可以与本族语的动词、形容词相结合，构成相应的名词。当它与动词结合时，表示the quality or condition of being（...的行为或过程）。请注意，有时-th 与古英语单词相结合，词基形态与现代英语单词不一样，我们均在括号中加以说明。 以下是动词加-th 构成的3个名词。 1.growth [grow v.生长；-th →]
